Dhaka, Dec 10- Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina talked to a number of world leaders through a videoconferencing here Wednesday and demanded 45 percent reduction in gas emission by the developed countries.The Prime Minister talked to Mexican President Felipe Calderson, Australian Prime Minister Kelvin Rudd, Danish Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon through the videoconferencing from her official residence Jamuna this evening.This was her third videoconferencing from Jamuna on the climate change issue. The first two video conferences were held ahead of the Copenhagen Summit. Sheikh Hasina told the world leaders and the UN Secretary General that the countries which have been the worst victims of climate change are not responsible for the human-induced calamitous global warming.She called for a legal regime under the United Nations Standard Coordinating Committee (UNSCC) for the overall rehabilitation of climate refugees and implementation of the Bali Action Plan.The Prime Minister also called for a legally binding commitment by the greenhouse gas emitting countries for tackling the challenges of climate change.
